Facebook Marketplace collection and delivery
Facebook Marketplace is full of great furniture at great prices, but almost all of it is "collection only" and half of it is up two flights of stairs on the other side of London. Our Marketplace delivery service is the fix: buy the item, send us the seller's location and yours, and our two-person crew collects, loads and delivers it to your door — usually same-day — so distance and lifting never cost you a bargain again.
We collect anything a Marketplace sale involves: sofas and corner suites, beds and mattresses, wardrobes and chests of drawers, fridges, washing machines, dining sets, garden furniture and general household goods. Two people and a van mean heavy items and awkward staircases at both ends are routine, and we blanket-wrap furniture so what you buy arrives in the condition it was photographed in. You handle the seller and the payment; we handle the muscle and the van.
We cover all of London and the surrounding areas, keep same-day and next-day slots open, and fully insure every collection.
What Marketplace delivery covers
- Collection from any Facebook Marketplace seller in London
- Sofas, beds, wardrobes, appliances and general household items
- Two-person carry, up and down stairs at both ends
- Blanket-wrapping so your buy arrives as photographed
- Usually same-day, so the seller does not sell it to someone else
- All boroughs and surrounding areas, insurance to be confirmed before booking
Pricing: Marketplace collection is priced by item: from £45 for a local collection, £55 for a larger single item and £195 for a van load. Same-day adds £40; a two-mover crew adds £45.
Marketplace Delivery prices
Marketplace collection is priced by item and distance, so you can work out whether the bargain is still a bargain before you commit.
A short hop — seller and buyer close together.
Anything that needs the van rather than a car boot.
A bulk buy, a house lot, or several sellers in one run.
Added when it has to happen today rather than in a booked slot.
We deal with the seller directly once you give us their number, so you do not have to be at the collection end at all.
How it works
Send us the listing
The link or a screenshot. It usually has the dimensions, the postcode and the collection window already on it.
Give us the seller's number
We arrange the time with them ourselves. You do not need to be there, and you do not need to relay messages.
Fixed price and slot
Confirmed before we set off, including the two-mover crew if the item needs one.
Collected and delivered
Wrapped for the journey and carried in — not left on the pavement outside your building.
Buying something too big for your car
The awkward part of a Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree purchase is rarely the price. It is that the seller wants it gone this week, the item is a two-person lift, and you are working. Collections fall through because the buyer cannot get there, not because anybody changed their mind.
Handing that leg to us fixes it. We speak to the seller, agree a window that suits them, collect, and deliver to you. The thing we ask in return is honesty about the item: sellers routinely describe a three-seater as a two-seater and forget to mention the second floor with no lift, and that is what turns a fixed price into a problem on the doorstep.
- Send dimensions, not adjectives. "Large sofa" tells us nothing. Length and depth in centimetres tells us everything.
- Check the seller's access. Second floor with no lift is a two-mover job. Ask them before we quote, not after we arrive.
- Payment stays between you and the seller. We collect goods, not money. Settle with them directly before the collection window.
- Multiple pickups. Several items from different sellers in one area can go on a single run, which is far cheaper than three separate jobs.
- Check it on arrival. We will wait while you look at it. If it is not what was described, that is a conversation to have with the seller, not after we have gone.
- Damaged or misdescribed items. We can only collect what the seller hands over. We will photograph anything that looks wrong before it goes in the van.
Frequently Asked Questions
Marketplace listings are collection only — can you help?
Yes. We collect from the seller and deliver to you, so a collection-only listing is no longer a dealbreaker wherever it is in London.
Can you collect the same day I buy it?
Usually, yes — which helps stop the seller passing your item to someone else. Send both locations and we will confirm the soonest slot.
Can you carry a sofa down from the seller's flat?
Yes. Our two-person crew handles heavy items down from the seller's place and up to yours, stairs and all.
How much does it cost?
On our man and van rate from £65 per hour, based on distance and time. We agree a fixed price before collecting.
Is the item insured on the way?
Ask us for the current insurance certificate, cover limits and exclusions that apply to your job before you book.
Can you pay the seller for me on collection?
We handle the transport, not the payment — that stays between you and the seller. Most buyers pay by bank transfer in advance and we simply collect and deliver the item.
Do I need to be there when you collect?
No. Give us the seller's number and we arrange the window with them directly. Most of our marketplace work is done with the buyer at work and the seller at home.
Can you collect several items from different sellers?
Yes, and if they are reasonably close together it is much cheaper as one run than as separate jobs. Send us all the listings and we will price it as a route.
What if the item is bigger than the seller said?
It happens constantly. We will tell you before loading, and if it needs a bigger van or a second mover we agree the change with you first rather than presenting it afterwards.
Do you pay the seller for me?
No — we handle goods, not payments. Pay the seller directly before we collect, and tell them we are coming in your name.
