Sofa delivery and collection in London

A sofa is one of the trickiest things to move: heavy, bulky, awkward through doorways and easily marked if it is not wrapped and handled properly. Our sofa delivery service is built for it. We collect your sofa from a shop, showroom, warehouse or private seller and deliver it into your living room — carried in by a two-person crew, taken up any stairs, and manoeuvred through tight doors and around corners without damage to the sofa or your walls.

It does not matter whether it is a brand-new corner suite from a retailer, a second-hand piece from a marketplace seller, or a sofa you are moving between homes — we blanket-wrap it, strap it securely for transit and unwrap it at the other end. If a doorway looks tight, our crew are experienced at the angles and the door-off tricks that get a sofa in where it looked like it would not go.

We cover every London borough and the surrounding areas, keep same-day and next-day slots open, and fully insure every delivery. If you are getting rid of an old sofa at the same time, we can take that away too.

What sofa delivery includes

  • Collection from retailers, showrooms, warehouses and private sellers
  • Delivery into your living room — not left in the hallway
  • Two-person carry up stairs and through tight doorways
  • Blanket-wrapping and secure strapping in transit
  • Optional removal of your old sofa in the same visit
  • Same-day and next-day slots, insurance to be confirmed before booking

Pricing: Sofa delivery is priced by item: from £55 for a small item, £95 for a single large item, £145 for two and £195 for a van load. A two-mover crew adds £45; same-day adds £40.

Sofa Delivery Service prices

Sofa delivery is priced by item rather than by the hour, so you know the number before we set off.

Small item
from £55

One item two people can carry without a struggle.

Single large item
from £95

A sofa, fridge, wardrobe or bed, collected and delivered.

Two items
from £145

Both collected on the same run rather than two callouts.

Van load
from £195

Several items, or roughly a room's worth in one go.

A two-mover crew adds £45 and same-day adds £40. Everything is confirmed as a fixed price before we collect — we do not start a job and then revise the number.

How it works

1

Send the sofa and both postcodes

A photo of the sofa and where it is going. If you have the listing, the dimensions on it save us both a conversation.

2

Check the doorway

Measure the narrowest door on the route and tell us. This single measurement prevents most failed sofa deliveries.

3

Fixed price and slot

Agreed before we collect, with the two-mover crew booked in if the item needs it.

4

Collected and placed

Wrapped for the journey, carried in, and put where you actually want it rather than left in the hall.

The measurement that decides a sofa delivery

A three-seater is typically 200-230cm long and 90cm deep, and a standard internal door is 76cm wide. The number that matters is not the length of the sofa — it is the depth, because that is the dimension that has to pass through the door frame once the sofa is turned on its end.

If the depth is under about 80cm and the hallway has room to pivot, it goes in. If it does not, the options are the feet coming off, the back coming off on models built that way, or a window. We would far rather establish that from a photo and a tape measure the day before than have a crew standing in your hallway.

  • Measure the narrowest door. Not the front door — the tightest one on the whole route, including the turn at the top of the stairs.
  • Feet unscrew on most sofas. That is 5-10cm back, and it is often the difference between fitting and not.
  • Corner and modular units. Usually separate into sections. Find out whether yours does before delivery day, not during it.
  • Sofa beds. Substantially heavier because of the steel frame — these are a two-mover job almost every time.
  • Second-hand collections. We can collect from a private seller or a shop; give us their number and we will arrange the time directly with them.
  • Taking the old one. We can remove the sofa being replaced on the same visit. That is disposal rather than delivery and carries an eco fee — ask and we will price both together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you get my sofa through a narrow doorway? expand_more

Usually, yes. Our crew are experienced with tight doors, tricky staircases and taking doors off where needed to get a sofa in safely.

Will you take my old sofa away when you deliver the new one? expand_more

Yes, we can collect and dispose of your old sofa in the same visit — see our sofa and mattress disposal service for details and prices.

Can you collect a sofa I bought second-hand? expand_more

Yes. Collecting a sofa from a marketplace or private seller and delivering it to you is an everyday job for us.

How is sofa delivery priced? expand_more

By item: from £55 for a small item, £95 for a single large item, £145 for two and £195 for a van load. Send a photo and both addresses and we will confirm a fixed price.

Is my sofa protected during the move? expand_more

Ask us for the current insurance certificate, cover limits and exclusions that apply to your job before you book.

Can you deliver a sofa in two or more parts? expand_more

Yes. Modular and corner sofas that split into sections are easier to manoeuvre, and we reconnect them in your room. Tell us the model so we know what to expect.

What if the sofa will not fit through the door? expand_more

We try the feet off and the standard angles first. If it genuinely will not go, we do not force it and risk your door frame — we will have flagged the risk from your measurements before the day wherever possible.

Can you take my old sofa away at the same time? expand_more

Yes. That part is a disposal job and carries a separate eco fee because a sofa has to go to a licensed transfer station rather than a skip. Ask for both when you book and we will give you one combined price.

Do you deliver from second-hand sellers and marketplaces? expand_more

Regularly. Send the listing and the seller's contact details and we will arrange collection with them directly — you do not have to be there for that end.

Will you take it upstairs? expand_more

Yes. Tell us the floor and whether there is a lift when you book, because a third-floor carry with no lift is a two-mover job and needs to be in the price rather than sprung on the crew.
